Building a grid component

To build a grid, you use the Alpha Five Grid Component Builder. In this builder, you choose the data source you want to use (either an Alpha Five table or some other data source like Access, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)

Alpha Five then presents you with a choice of fields to include in the grid. You can format the fields as you like. In this example we have used text boxes, but you can use radio buttons, drop-down lists, list boxes, even calendar controls just by pointing and clicking.

You also have control over the fonts, layout, colors and other design elements.

When you are done, you save the component. Then it's ready for use in a a web page.
