Operations

Genies are tools that guide you step by step through all aspects of Alpha Five. Most database applications are combinations of a relatively small number (perhaps several hundred) of common procedures. The Alpha Five genies allow you to perform these tasks and add these procedures without writing code. Instead, you work through series of dialog boxes, answer questions, and make selections.

This picture displays one of the most useful genies - the Update Genie. This utility guides you through the process of making additions or changes to a field in selected records in a table.
