Query by Expression is one of the more powerful query functions. The Query by Expression dialog allows the user to enter Filter and Order expressions of arbitrary complexity and length. If the user does not understand Xbasic, a button clicks displays the Expression Builder, which is a genie optimized for helping people build expressions.

The Query by Expression dialog allows the user to save, retrieve, and use named queries. These queries appear on the Operations tab of the Control Panel. You can run them from the Control Panel, from scripts, and from menus.
