Xbasic Events on HTML Pages Alpha Five now allows you to use HTML in both Xdialog and Form layouts. Normally, when you want to write code to respond to events on an HTML form, or to automate behaviors, you must code using Javascript. Now, you can also use Xbasic to write your event handlers and automation code in an HTML document. Of course, Xbasic can only be used when the HTML is hosted in an Alpha Five environment (i.e. in an Xdialog or Form layout).
This is an extremely powerful feature that is primarily of interest to users who have strong HTML/CSS skills and who want to take advantage of the powerful layout features that HTML/CSS offer within the Alpha Five environment. With this feature, it is possible to create some extremely rich user interfaces. |
