Alpha Five Version 9 Standard Edition

This edition is for building both desktop (PC-based) database applications and web based applications. Choose this version if you plan to work exclusively with Alpha Five's built in database backend, rather than another, SQL backend like MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle. To deploy your web application, so that others may access it, you need the Alpha Five Application Server (below).For a list of new features in version 9, see the features page.

Alpha Five Version 9 Platinum Edition

The Platinum Edition is also designed for desktop and web based applications. In addition, it allows you to use both the Alpha Five database engine as well as virtually any SQL database - including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle and more. Native drivers are included for most popular data sources (such as the ones named) - plus it can use ODBC as well. It's perfect for enterprise level applications. Alpha Five Application Server

The Alpha Five Application Server (AFAS) allows you to deploy the web applications you build in Alpha Five so that others can access them. AFAS is a secure system, that has built in support for password access and SSL encryption. It can be deployed on virtually any Windows machine with a permanent internet connection (such as DSL, FIOS, Cable Modem, etc.) - even if you do not have a permanent IP address. It can also be deployed on a Virtual Private Server (VPS).

Alpha Five Run Engines and Runtimes

These products allow you to distribute your Alpha Five applications to your customers, clients, or employees without the need for them to install Alpha Five. For details, see the document Runtimes and Run Engines Explained.

AlphaStore E-commerce Application

This full-featured web application can be used "out of the box" to provide a complete, fully functioning, "ready for business", online catalog, shopping cart and e-commerce system. Or, it can be used as a framework for your own web application. In either case, all you need is a copy of Alpha Five to edit the application and the Alpha Five Application Server to deploy it.
