    Default COUNT() syntax

    I am trying to do a simple count of the number of records in a Detail Group called plants_plantname. The field name is called logsID. I have read, reread, and reread the documentation about COUNT() and simply do not grasp the syntax. I have tried the expression count(logsID, GRP->plants_plantname) and a multitude of variations to no avail. Can someone directly me to some valid examples of the the COUNT() syntax?

    Much, much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tim

    Default Re: COUNT() syntax

    count(logs_logid,GRP->plants_plantname) logs_logid comes from the table and plants_plantname is the Group name

    count(logs_logid,GRP->GRAND)
