I've been away for some time but let me say, I go back to A3 Version 2.5. I was one the forum when AlphaSoftware ran on either Genie or Compuserve. I tell all this to give a hint at my chagrin for what I'm about to say.
I have not used my Alpha 5 for about 4 years, maybe 5. I have A5Ver 11 just never really used it because life took a different turn. Yesterday I received an email from a friend asking for help with an A5 problem. I asked a couple questions and said I'd start tomorrow (today). Turned on the machine and checked which version I had. Version 11. Good. All I need to do is update it. Downloaded the file and started. After a few seconds, there was a message, "GLB5280.tmp" blocked. It went on to say basically that this was due to a conflict that it may corrupt your machine. This message was from Trend Micros Internet Security. So, I stopped the process and tried to remove A5. This failed because the uninstaller couldn't find "INSTALL.LOG". So I disabled Trend Micro and tried again to install. Worked fine. Then I tried to update and this to worked.
So, the questions are what does GLB5280.tmp do? Will there be any harm if I installed the way I stated? Is there any need for you or me to report this to Trend Micro?
