    Default Open adb file

    Is there a way to open, inspect the contents of the adb file?

    I can view (sort of) with an ordinary file viewer, but I want to get into it.

    load_adb_def()

    All that is stored in there are the list of tables, libraries, and some startup information.

    I don't understand the question. You can view the contents of the adb file with load_adb_def() you can save it with save_adb_def().

    I don't see save_adb_def() in the chm. How do I use it?

    In looking through code that uses it, the first parameter is the filename and the second parameter is a list of files that need to be put in the adb file (dbf, set, alb). I don't know for certain, but I imagine that the format that comes out of load_adb_def() could be passed back into save_adb_def().

    Ok, thanks Aaron. I assume that the parameters are passed as a text string, such as:

    vString = <<%str%
    cat
    dog
    house
    bat
    rat
    mouse
    fish
    %str%

    Yes, it is crlf() delimited string.

    Cool. I don't have time now, but later I'll let you know if it works ok.

    Note to Ed: Please document this command.

    Thank you,

    I know this is a very old post, but for anyone that stumbles across it in search for information on ADB files, like I did, I've posted a utility to correct ADB files in the code archive.
