Default Read/Write text files form WAS?

Since the WAS does not support normal UIs, how do I access a text file to say, read or write to/from a memo field either w. xbasic or interactively - i.e. user navigating to a file on the local machine?

You can use all of the xbasic code that will open, read, write, copy, delete, etc for files on your server. Does your application specifically need some UI to come up requiring user interaction? You can use the File Upload example in the help to show how to browse your client computer for files to manipulate. I can help on this if you describe the situation.

Thanks Steve. You put me on the write track. Once I have had a chance to work w. it, I may ask you some questions.
