Operations

Description

Alpha Anywhere includes flexible record processing options. You can post values from one table to another, export data to a different format such as a spreadsheet (.xls) format, append records from one table to another, create a new table from data in other tables, and much more.

Other processing operations include:

• Create a table of summary or cross-tabulated statistics.

• Perform relational join, intersect, and subtract operations on two tables to create a third.

• Identify and remove duplicate records.

For example, you want to mail a sales flyer to all customers in your Customer table. There is a possibility that some customers have been entered twice or more and you do not want to mail duplicates. Before printing Labels, you can perform a Mark/Delete operation to delete the duplicates. Or, even easier, use the Delete Duplicate Records Genie to streamline the process.
