Creating a New Table
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/DBF/Creating a New Table.xml
Typically, you create new database tables by defining their data field structure in the Table Editor window. Other methods for creating tables include:
Creating a Table Lookup
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/DBF/Creating a Table Lookup.xml
You can use a record in another table as the source of the lookup values. You can also define a lookup that fills in several fields with values from fields you select from the lookup table. For example, you might define a lookup for the Prod_ID field. The lookup finds the matching Prod_ID record in the Product table and fills in the Price field.
Create a New Table by Example
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/DBF/Create a New Table by Example.xml
The Create Table - by Example process infers the table structure from sample data.
Create a New Table from Sample Data
/documentation/pages/Desktop/Reference/Design/Data/DBF/Create a New Table from Sample Data.xml
Alpha Anywhere allows you to create a table by entering sample data.
Creating a Tabbed Control
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/View/Layout Control/Creating a Tabbed Control.xml
Tabbed controls provide a familiar, tabbed interface that you can use on a form to organize fields, controls, and other objects. For example, you have a form in which you enter invoice information. By creating a tabbed control, you can have one tabbed page on which you fill in customer information, one page on which you enter billing information, and a third page on which you enter individual line-items.
Enter a New Record
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Platform/Xbasic Action Scripting/Records/Enter a New Record.xml
The Enter a New Record action creates and displays a new, empty record for the user.
Creating a WHERE Clause
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/SQL/Creating a WHERE Clause.xml
A WHERE clause filters (limits) the records that you will select with a SQL statement.
Creating a Custom Component
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Custom/Creating a Custom Component.xml
Creating a custom component involves four steps.
Creating a Simple List
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/FieldRules/Creating a Simple List.xml
If you want to provide a pre-defined list of choices for a field, use a Simple List lookup. For example, in the AlphaSports Invoices set, the Pay_Method field is defined as a Simple List lookup with the choices: "Credit", "Cash", and "Check". You can select any of these values instead of typing them in.
Creating A Service Endpoint
