- Web Grid Geographical Search
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Web Grid/Web Grid Geographical Search.xml
You can use a map control in the Search Part of a Grid to enter points for a polygon search or to specify the center point and radius for a radius search.
To use a geographic search, your SQL database must support geography types, and your grid must be based on a query that includes a geography field. You need to include the geography field in your search part, and set its control to a map.
- Search a Grid Component that is Embedded into a UX component
Create a highly customized 'Search Part' for a Grid. Allows you to submit a UX component that
contains 'search' fields to compute a filter expression and then filter a Grid component that has been embedded into the UX component.
- Clear a Search a Grid Component that is Embedded into a UX component
For use in conjunction with the 'Search a Grid Component that is Embedded into a UX' action.
Clears the search form in the UX and removes the filter from the embedded Grid.
- Global Search and Replace
Search and replace values in a field in all currently visible rows in the Grid.

- Record Navigation and Dialog Search
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Component/Record Navigation and Dialog Search.xml
Requires the Dialog Component - Record Navigation and Dialog Search feature pack, included in subscription
Using this Feature Pack you can easily add functionality to let you navigate from record to record in a Dialog Component that has been bound to a database. The videos show how you can implement First/Next/Previous/Last buttons to move from record to record, how you can add a slider control to navigate from record to record, or how you can add a List View control to the Dialog to show you a list of key values that you can click on to navigate to a particular record in your Database.
- Highlighting Search Terms in Grid Records
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Highlighting Search Terms in Grid Records.xml
This topic describes how to highlight a search term found in the text of matching records displayed in a grid. For example, if you start with something like this,
- Search Part - Radius Search - Sorting result by distance from the map center point
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Grid Properties/Alternate Views/Google Maps - Alternate Views/Search Part - Radius Search - Sorting result by distance from the map center point.xml
When you do a radius search (i.e. find all records with a certain distance of a map center point), it can be useful to order the records by distance from the map center point. This video shows how this is easily done.
- Filtering a Grid with Quick Search
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Grid Properties/Quick Search/Filtering a Grid with Quick Search.xml
Quick Searchis an option for a grid component that allows you to quickly filter and re-display its contents.
To add Quick Search to a grid:
- Dialog Component - Power Search for Embedded Report
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Component/Dialog Component - Power Search for Embedded Report.xml
Requires the Power Search for Reports Embedded in Dialog Components feature pack, included in subscription
The Dialog Component can be used to create a 'Search Part' for a Report so that the end-user can enter search ctieria to define exactly which records to display in the report.
