Grid Component Search Part
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/The Search Part/Grid Component Search Part.xml
A guide to all of the options available in the grid component search part.
Ordering Lookup Entries - Grid Component
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Ordering Lookup Entries - Grid Component.xml
Often you will want to display a list of values selected from a table. It is often desirable to specifically order these entries, instead of allowing them to display in record order or alphabetically. Here is a technique for solving this problem. This example uses a drop down list box on a dialog component, but the technique works equally well with a list box on a grid component.
SQL::Query::Execute Function
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/Execute Method.xml
Execute the current statement using the current or passed connection. Optionally providing argument values as an object or as XML. Note: Argument values are merged with those already set on the query.
SQL::Query::Validate Function
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/Validate Method.xml
Execute the current statement using the current or passed connection.
SQL::Query::Join Object
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/Join/index.xml
Internal use only. The SQL::Query::Join object fully describes the joining of a parent table to a referenced table. Key properties include .JoinType and (if an outer join) the .OuterJoinType.
SQL::Query::GroupBy Object
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/GroupBy/index.xml
Internal use only. The SQL::Query::GroupBy object describes the GROUP BY and HAVING expressions of a SELECT statement. The GROUP BY clause contains an optional ALL keyword and a list of column expressions upon which to group the result set. The optional HAVING clause is evaluated for each aggregated row to determine whether the summary will be included in the output.
Grid Component - Checkbox Column - Custom Ajax Callbacks
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Grid Component/Grid Component Checkbox Column, Custom Ajax Callbacks.xml
When you do a custom Ajax callback, the 'e' object that is passed into your Xbasic function that handles the callback contains a lot of useful information. Now, the 'e' object contains 3 additional properties that are automatically set if the grid has a checkbox column. The properties are:
SQL::Query::TableReference Object
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/TableReference/index.xml
Internal use only.
SQL::Query::ReleaseConnection Function
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/ReleaseConnection Method.xml
Clear out the connection property.
SQL::Query::ColumnOrder Object
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Namespace/SQL/Query/ColumnOrder/index.xml
Internal use only. A SQL::Query::ColumnOrder object describes an entry in the ORDER BY clause.
