- Additional Grid styles
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/TabbedUI/Tabbed UI Properties/CSSSVG/additionalgridstyles.xml
Specify if any other styles (in addition to the primary style for the Tabbed UI component) must be included. Enter a comma delimited list of style names. e.g., GlassOlive,Airport
- Grid Component Capabilities
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Grid Component Capabilities.xml
Web publishing applications only. A grid component displays reads from and writes to your database and displays the data in a web page. The Grid Builder is a genie that you use to create grid components.
The HTML Editor allows you to place grid components into A5W pages (an A5W page is a hybrid HTML/Xbasic page that is processed by the Application Server ).
Grids have many optional capabilities that you can enable or disable through menus. Many properties of a new grid component have default properties. If you wish, you can set different default property values.
- [Linked Grid] Properties
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Grid Fields/Grid Field Properties/Control Properties/Linked Grid Properties.xml
Grids can be embedded inside Grids by adding a [Linked Grid] control.
- Finding the Grid Builder
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Introducing the Grid Builder/Finding the Grid Builder.xml
Steps for locating the Grid Builder in Alpha Anywhere:
- Introducing the Grid Builder
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Introducing the Grid Builder/index.xml
In addition to UX components, grid components are an important part of Alpha Anywhere Web Publishing. They retrieve and display data from a variety of types of databases. They allow the user to search for, edit, insert, and delete records. You create grid components with the Grid Builder.
- Grid Component SQL Database Credentials
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Grid Component/Grid Component SQL Database Credentials.xml
By default all users who use a Grid component connect to the SQL database using the same credentials. These credentials are defined in the a5_application.a5i file which is automatically published when your application is published. The a5_application.a5i file defines how each named connection string in your application should be resolved at runtime.
- Update Source Grid
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Defined Controls/Update Source Grid.xml
Only used if UX component was opened by 'Open UX Component as an alternate editing
view for current record' action. Insert a button to update the controls in the source component and another
to reset the UX component controls to their original state.
- Web Grid Geographical Search
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Web Grid/Web Grid Geographical Search.xml
You can use a map control in the Search Part of a Grid to enter points for a polygon search or to specify the center point and radius for a radius search.
To use a geographic search, your SQL database must support geography types, and your grid must be based on a query that includes a geography field. You need to include the geography field in your search part, and set its control to a map.
- Grid Components - Sequences
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Grid Component/Grid Components Sequences.xml
The Grid Component now fully supports the use of 'sequences'. Some databases, such as Oracle, implement auto-increment fields through the use of 'sequences'. A 'sequence' is an object that is used to get the next number for an auto-increment field when a record is inserted. In order to use a sequence to generate the ID values for an auto-increment field, you need to tell the Grid component what the name is of the sequence to use.
- Web Grid Videos
/documentation/pages/Server/Guide/Design/View/Grid/Web Grid/Web Grid Videos.xml
Associate an animation effect with each show/hide expression you define.
