Using Memo and Rich Text Memo Fields
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/View/RTF/Using Memo and Rich Text Memo Fields.xml
You can use memo fields and rich text memo fields for:
/documentation/pages/Ref/Desktop_Api/Layout/Memo Functions/A5_MEMO_EDITOR Function.xml
Opens a text editor. Used to edit memos when user clicks the pencil icon. Returns 'lastbutton' and 'insertion_point'
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Defined Controls/Editor-Ink.xml
Inserts an 'Editor' for capturing 'ink'. IMPORTANT: This control MUST be inserted inside an Editor-Set control.
Add Text to RTF Memo Field
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Platform/Xbasic Action Scripting/Add Text to RTF Memo Field.xml
The Add Text to RTF Memo Field action adds text at any location in an RTF memo field. You may specify the font, style, size, and color. You can also insert new lines before or after the inserted text.
Copying Selected Text from a Memo Control
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Xdialog/Controls/Copying Selected Text from a Memo Control.xml
The following example shows how to copy selected text from a memo control. The script then pastes the copied text into a different text control on the same form.
a5_memo_editor_object Function
/documentation/pages/Ref/Desktop_Api/Layout/Memo Functions/a5_memo_editor_object Function.xml
Called when user clicks the Pencil icon in Browse mode, and the browse is in view mode (i.e. the memo editor is not open for editing).
Editor Settings
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Props/other/Form Properties/Form properties/Fields/Editor Settings/index.xml
The Editor Settings inside the FormView builder allow you to define values to be passed to any editor or editor set containers in the ux component. Whether or not these values are consumed is determined inside the [Editor Properties] on each editor.
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Defined Controls/Editor-Camera.xml
Inserts an 'Editor' for capturing an image using the Camera. IMPORTANT: This control MUST be inserted inside an Editor-Set control.
Editor Properties
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/UX/Controls/Props/container/Editor Properties/index.xml
The editor properties lets you define javascript to be used in manipulating values that are defined inside the editor itself, usually on the controls contained within the editor. This lets you decide whether or not you want a property to be consumed inside an editor.
Set Editor
/documentation/pages/Desktop/Reference/Design/Data/Set/Set Editor.xml
The Set Editor written in Xbasic makes it substantially faster to open a Set for editing than was the case with previous Set Editors that were written in MFC; especially when editing Sets based on active-link tables.
