/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Grid Properties/Master Template/Master Layout Template Style.xml
If your grid component contains a Search and or Detail View Part this will give you more template style options. You can add Search and Detail 'parts' on the Component Type page of the Grid Builder . There are a number of pre-defined master layout templates that you can use to style your grid.
- TABLE Function
/documentation/pages/Ref/Api/Functions/Document Types/DBF/Table Functions/TABLE Function.xml
Returns the name of the current table.
- Create a Label Layout
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/View/Label/Create a Label Layout.xml
Alpha Anywhere's Label layouts let you print information on commercially available sticky-labels. Most commonly, a Label layout is created to print mail Labels to put on envelopes. However, they have other uses as well. For example, you can use them to create name tags or to catalog objects in an archive.
- Send/Receive Individual Layout Definitions
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/View/Layout/Send and Receive Individual Layout Definitions.xml
In Alpha Anywhere, Layouts (Reports, Labels, Forms, Browses and Letters) are all stored in the data dictionary for the table or set on which the Layout is based.
In the case of a table, the data dictionary files have these extensions: .ddd, .ddm and .ddx. In the case of a set, the data dictionary files have these extensions: .set, .sem and .sex.
Because all of the Layouts for a particular table or set are stored in the same physical data dictionary files, it is difficult for a developer to send a client an individual Layout. You can easily send a client a new copy of the data dictionary (.ddd, .ddm and .ddx files in the case of a table, or .set, .sex and .sem files in the case of a set), but doing so will overwrite any Layouts that the client created, or modified.
Now, you can simply right click on any Layout and select Send Layout.
- Table Overview
Alpha Anywhere tables store and arrange information in a database. Each table can contain an almost unlimited number of records while each record can contain up to 1,024 fields, storing individual bits of data. Tables generally contain information about people or things, such as Customers, invoices, bank transactions, and products. Fields may contain any one of eleven different data types.
- Send Table
To email one or more components of a table as a zip file:
- Open Form or Browse Layout
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/View/Browse/Open Form or Browse Layout.xml
The Open Form or Browse Layout action opens a form or browse.
- Custom Master layout template
/documentation/pages/Guides/Mobile and Web Components/Grid/Grid Properties/Master Template/custommasterlayouttemplate.xml
A Grid component comprises several parts - Search, Grid and Detail View. These parts can be laid out any way you want on the page that contains the Grid. Alternatively, you can define a Master Template that allows you to specify how the parts are laid out relative to one another.
- Creating Conditional Table Lookups
/documentation/pages/Guides/Desktop/Design/Data/DBF/Creating Conditional Table Lookups.xml
When one of several tables might supply the field's value, use a Conditional table lookup. Instead of choosing one lookup table, you complete the Table Conditions table, filling in the names of two or more tables along with a Conditional expression for each that determines which table is used for the lookup. The tables you use must have the same field names and types since there is only one field mapping.
