Quick Searchis an option for a grid component that allows you to quickly filter and re-display its contents.
To add Quick Search to a grid:
- Search Part - Radius Search - Sorting result by distance from the map center point

When you do a radius search (i.e. find all records with a certain distance of a map center point), it can be useful to order the records by distance from the map center point. This video shows how this is easily done.
- Using Global Search of Scripts and Functions

The Code tab in the Control Panel lets you search for a string in all of your global scripts and functions. You can search in all scripts and functions, or you can use wildcard character filters to limit the scripts and functions in which you search.
Display the Code tab, then select Code > Search Scripts and Functions.

Like Search and Detail View fields, Search > Properties and Detail View > Properties menus are also similar to the Grid > Propertiesmenus in function. You can use them to create the look and feel of the Search and Detail View boxes in your grid.

The 'Alphabet Buttons/Custom Buttons' Search feature creates an alphabet that users can utilize in searching for records alphabetically within a given field. For example, if you specify that your Alphabet buttons should search on the lastname field, when you click on the 'B' button, all records with lastnames that start with 'B' are shown. This section contains all of the properties that can be used to shape this search feature.

The Search > Fieldsand Detail View > Fields menus are similar to the Grid > Fields menus in function. The page for manipulating fields in Search and Detail are almost identical in their properties list and selection of tools.

Assume you have a grid that shows all the records of a table, such as the following.

A new feature has been added to these builders that allows you to search for a property in the Grid. This makes it very easy to find a particular property that you want to edit.
A 'search' hyperlink is visible above each Property Grid and when you click the hyperlink, a window open. As you type in the search box, the list is filtered. Double click or press enter to give focus to the selected property.
