Default Signature Capture to Ink conversion

I'd like convert all of my signature capture to Ink. Is there a way to do that?
(The reason is because Adobe doesn't like the png file and i'd like to not use the xps file to convert it)

Also, what data type to use for Ink?

    Hello Lee,

There is currently no way to do this that I am aware of. I'll check with Selwyn to see what they have to say.

The Signature Capture control stores the data in a different format than the Ink Control. Is there a specific file format you're trying to create?

The Ink Data is stored in as a Character string. You should use a Character data type to store your Ink Data in your SQL database. If you are using DBF tables, there is an Ink data type available to use there.

Have you seen this video? It explains the Ink Data type and how to store it in your database:

Selwyn is working on a work-around for the signature capture png file in a PDF file. So I won't need to convert to ink. However, in my test of the ink control, I could not get it to display on a report properly. It would be nice to have a fixed size so that the ink can fit on a form. If I flag it so that it can grow then is shows correctly. I thought that was the idea of the ink control to be able to size it...

Could you send in a sample report that reproduces the report issue to tabletbeta@alphasoftware.com? Thanks.
