    Default Persist to Local Storage

I know this works if you close out of the browser or if you log off (both of which are awesome), but does it work if lose power on the device and restart? Referring to a non-phone gap, browser based offline application. Thanks!

Yes, it's persistent even with the device off Scott.

I have an app that works with "Persist to Local Storage" for a list. (If I don't use an image.) Works as expected.

I was asked "Where is the file stored?" The Android/appname/files and cache folders are empty, but the data definitely shows up in the list.

Q: Where is Android+Alpha storing those files? I have <default> as the data cache location in the UX.

The mysteries of Alpha never cease to amaze me!

Carl - Alpha's not inventing or creating the local storage space. Each device has it's own.

A simple thing to do: Use Chrome on your desktop to view your site (and whatever else is needed to create the local storage data).

Then right-click on the page, pick "Inspect".

Go to the "Application" menu item and you'll see Local Storage. Drill down in that as needed and you'll see your keys and values.

There's a lot to be learned about localstorage with some web searches -- it's both simple and versatile at the same time.

Whether using a "Web App" running in browser on a device... or running a PhoneGap Build App (which runs under a WebView...a built-in browser) you're using the cache of the browser.
