    Default Error 2141

Today I was creating calculated fields in a grid component based on a one-to-one view. When I exited out of the calculated portion (either by OK or Cancel) and go back in, it gives me Error 2141 (see attached image). I have had this happen before. If I close the component and the web projects control panel and then go back I don't get the error. But once I close the calculated window, I again get the error when going back. Has anyone else noticed this? And what exactly IS error 2141?

ERROR 2141 is for "Exception executing Xbasic Instruction"

    Howard,

In the A5V8 (V5, V6 and V7) folder, Alpha5.errors lists all the error codes and what they mean.

    Davej,

unfortunately with alpha5 v6, in the file Alpha5.errors there's not the error 2141, they finish at 2140..... this is my luck...

    Thanks anyway

    Con,

In my copy of A5V6, Alpha5.errors goes to 17764=Bad object handle - and there are a number of errors following 17764 that have text rather than numbers followed by a description.

Yes that's right, mine is exactly the same. But if you look for error 2141 you won't find it, you'll find 2140, 2139, 2138 etc. but not 2141.

    Regards,

You got better eyes than I have. You're right - A5V6 skips right over 2141, but both A5V8 and A5V7 include 2141=Exception executing XBasic instruction.

    Sorry,
