A new release is available for Alpha Anywhere. Though this release is not considered a major release given that it is coming soon after the previous release, Alpha Anywhere 4.6.2.3 has several important new features to increase productivity and further help developers build secure applications.
Encrypt your Data
Encrypt data in your database using the new field encryption for the Grid component and List control. Data will be encrypted before stored in the table, giving you an added layer of protection. Data encryption is available for any existing table.
More Power for the Super User
Hand-off control over who has access in your tabbed interface applications with the TabbedUI component's new ability to change security groups for menu buttons at runtime. Before Alpha Anywhere 4.6.2.3, you could only set permissions during design. Changing group access required publishing an application update. With the new option to Store security groups in a database, you can give users the power to change security permissions without waiting for a new release.
