Bureau Veritas turns to Alpha Anywhere for Offline App Development

We are happy to relay information about another company turning to Alpha Anywhere 3.o because of its overall productivity and ability to build offline capable mobile apps easily and rapidly. Connectivity is not guaranteed, so providing offline support is a requirement for enterprise applications. Alpha Anywhere provides the capabilities for caching data offline in mobile applications, enabling mobile apps to work offline when an internet connection is not available. Offline mobile support can also reduce data costs.

Bureau Veritas Captures Offline Data with Alpha Anywhere

"Established in 1828, Bureau Veritas is a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), delivering high quality services to help clients meet the growing challenges of quality, safety, environmental protection and social responsibility.

Bureau Veritas is recognised and accredited by major national and international organisations, employing over 61,600 people in 1,330 offices and laboratories worldwide. In order to carry out our primary business objectives, many of our auditors require constant access to critical business data while in the field - even when an internet connection is not available," said Rohan Shenoy, North West Europe Lead Developer, Bureau Veritas. "We are excited to implement Alpha Anywhere’s offline capabilities, which will provide many benefits across our business.

For example, our team of elevator inspectors in the Netherlands are required to capture on-site asset information, often when no signal is available. Our mobile app built using Alpha Anywhere and PhoneGap will enable inspectors to record data in real time for later synchronisation with our primary systems, allowing us to improve efficiency and provide the best possible service to our customers."

The Alpha platform is the only unified mobile and web app development and deployment environment with distinct “no-code” and “low-code” components. Using the Alpha TransForm no-code product, business users and developers can take full advantage of all the capabilities of the smartphone to turn any form into a mobile app in minutes, and power users can add advanced app functionality with Alpha TransForm's built-in programming language. IT developers can use the Alpha Anywhere low-code environment to develop complex web or mobile business apps from scratch, integrate data with existing systems of record and workflows (including data collected via Alpha TransForm), and add additional security or authentication requirements to protect corporate data.
