Developers know that the future --- and the present --- of software is writing cloud-based applications. What they might not know, though, is that low-code platforms are the ideal tools for writing cloud-based apps, including SaaS subscription-based ones.
But Scott Binger, partner of Evolytix, knows that well from long experience. For years he’s been using Alpha Software low code software to write cloud-based applications (as well as mobile applications) and he says Alpha is ideal for the task. With it, he’s been able to write many cloud-based custom applications for a wide variety of customers in many industries, from healthcare to financial services to entertainment and beyond. He says Alpha has helped him dramatically increase productivity, reduce the time it takes to write applications, deliver exactly what customers want, and better attract and retain clients.
“Alpha has really perfected rapid application development,” he says. “It lets us build cloud-based applications quickly while being very versatile and flexible. It allows us to show our clients the work as it proceeds, so they can make changes, and we can respond to them quickly. That way, they get the exact features they want, and we don’t have to spend extra time delivering it to them.”
Having clients so involved early in the development process also increases their buy-in, which ultimately leads to more satisfied customers. That, in turn, leads to higher retention rates and increased revenue.
He adds, “Particularly compelling for us about Alpha is not to have to spend time on certain aspects of projects, which could be very time-consuming. For example, it provides a robust security framework, as well as login components, many registration forms, two-factor authentication and a lot more. It’s all taken care of, packaged nicely, and easy to use. That saves us a tremendous amount of time. And ultimately, we pass along those savings to our customers.”
He says that using Alpha leads to “dramatic improvement in our efficiency, often between fifty and seventy-five percent.” That lets his company deliver software more quickly, and also lets him offer lower prices to his clients than he otherwise would have been able to do.
Looking towards the future, he says Evolytix is moving towards developing SaaS subscription-based software, which will provide a steadier, increased revenue stream. And he says Alpha software low-code products are ideally suited for doing that.
With SaaS software, clients may more frequently ask for new features, and may expect changes to be offered quickly and regularly, because they’re paying a subscription fee, rather than making a one-time purchase.
Because Alpha lets Evolytix quickly iterate and deliver changes, he says it’s well-suited for any company developing SaaS and cloud-based applications.
“It’s really ideal for us,” he concludes. “I’d recommend it to any company developing cloud-based applications, or mobile ones as well.
