Why is Cross-Platform Mobile App Development More Viable Than Ever?

VDC Research Analyst Eric Klein explains why Cross-platform mobile app development is more viable than ever, and names Alpha Software as a vendor helping to solve the problem. With organizations needing to support a wider range of mobile devices than ever before, a bulletproof cross platform mobile app development tool is a key requirement for companies everywhere. A recent article by VDC Research Analyst Eric Klein entitled, "Cross-platform mobile app development is more viable than ever," discusses the challenge and offers a list of vendors that can solve the problem.

While cross-platform app development has been a reality for years, Klein explains that recent standardization and easing of restrictions by mobile platform vendors has made cross platform developer more viable than ever.

He Klein explains:

"Employees have come to expect to use the mobile devices of their choosing for their day-to-day workflows. As a result, organizations have had to invest in tools to modernize the applications they have relied on for years. At the same time, tools have emerged that can drastically simplify the process of creating applications that run across multiple operating systems. More importantly, many of these cross-platform mobile app development tools feature design, development, testing and deployment capabilities within a single integrated platform."

Klein then stresses the importance of assessing a company's development resources before selecting any development tool. He also reminds companies to assess their device landscape and user experience needs as part of the process.

As he begins proposing solutions to the challenge, Klein lists Alpha Software mobile app development as one of seven vendors that companies should consider when selecting a cross-platform mobile app development tool. He explains that while these vendors have proprietary tools, they also "take advantage of open source components to augment their features."

Learn about why Klein and other vendors are touting the power of Alpha Software products for cross-platform mobile app development and why Alpha Anywhere is consistently ranked with near-perfect scores by customers on third-party product review websites.
