On July 20th, 13 specialists representing software development companies gathered at Chiletec’s office in Santiago - Chile, to attend a presentation and demo of Alpha Anywhere which is being introduced in the country by Nubison, appointed as Alpha Software Reseller.  Chiletec is the IT business association that brings together software developers and professional services companies in the country.

After a 20 minutes introductory presentation, Carlos Teixidó, Nubison’s General Manager described the following requirements of the example app to be to be developed:

Mobile App for Realtors:

  1. a.     Management of the list of Properties (In, Out, Show)
  2. b.     Map and geolocation of properties
  3. c.      Register of observations (damages, repairs pending, etc.) with data, photo capture, customer signature
  4. d.     Online / Offline operation with automatic download
  5. e.     Global search in the list assigned to the Agent
  6. f.      Generate reports

The audience was then invited to give their best estimate of time required to build this app.

The answers ranged from 1 and 4 months, with an average of 2 months.

After this, Francisco Castillo, Nubison´s engineer specialized in Alpha Anywhere, started building the prototype while explaining the Alpha features, templates and genies used. The attendees were surprised to verify that immediate results were achieved for each of the above-mentioned requirements, in each step along the process - which took only 40 minutes total.

So far, most of the software development houses have started Trials (with early feedback being very positive) to consider Alpha Anywhere as their platform of choice to improve the productivity, cost, time to market and quality of their mobile solutions.

The Alpha platform is the only unified mobile and web app development and deployment environment with distinct “no-code” and “low-code” components. Using the Alpha TransForm no-code product, business users and developers can take full advantage of all the capabilities of the smartphone to turn any form into a mobile app in minutes, and power users can add advanced app functionality with Alpha TransForm's built-in programming language. IT developers can use the Alpha Anywhere low-code environment to develop complex web or mobile business apps from scratch, integrate data with existing systems of record and workflows (including data collected via Alpha TransForm), and add additional security or authentication requirements to protect corporate data.
