Alpha Anywhere recently received an Honorable Mention by Gartner in the "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise High-Productivity Application Platform as a Service." The Magic Quadrant for enterprise high-productivity PaaS platforms High-productivity application platform as a service (hpaPaaS) solutions support application development, deployment and execution in the cloud, and provide services for declarative, model-driven application design and development, and simplified one-button deployments. According to Gartner, this market is growing quickly as “businesses juggle the demand for applications, digital business requirements and skill set challenges.” Alpha Software’s inclusion occurs at a time when Gartner expanded the criteria to include next-gen apps that incorporate Artificial Intelligence (IT), IoT sensors, and robotic process automation. Only vendors providing true "enterprise" hpaPaaS — as a public cloud service — are considered for inclusion.

While Alpha Software is viewed by customers as having a powerful platform for developers, its value as an easy-to-use citizen development tool is also being recognized in the market. A related Gartner report issued 30 April, “Assessing Microsoft PowerApps as a Citizen Developer Platform,” called out Alpha Anywhere as an alternative to Microsoft PowerApps. You can read the full blog article that discusses the Gartner report and highlights Alpha Anywhere's value as an easy-to-use citizen development tool.

The Alpha platform is the only unified mobile and web app development and deployment environment with distinct “no-code” and “low-code” components. Using the Alpha TransForm no-code product, business users and developers can take full advantage of all the capabilities of the smartphone to turn any form into a mobile app in minutes, and power users can add advanced app functionality with Alpha TransForm's built-in programming language. IT developers can use the Alpha Anywhere low-code environment to develop complex web or mobile business apps from scratch, integrate data with existing systems of record and workflows (including data collected via Alpha TransForm), and add additional security or authentication requirements to protect corporate data.
